A Navasota man, facing a murder charge in Harris County, was arrested this weekend in the Northgate area during a traffic stop by Texas A&M Police.
Texas A&M Police say they stopped Alexander Barrientos just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning for expired vehicle registration and no insurance. During the stop, A&M Police learned Barrientos, who is not an A&M student, was wanted in Harris County for a Homicide-Murder with a Vehicle charge.
He was taken into custody Sunday morning and booked into the Brazos County Detention Center without incident.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says Barrientos, 22, was involved in a high-speed pursuit in April that ended in a crash that killed the passenger in his vehicle.
