A Memorial Fund Has Been Established For Sergeant Mark Butler’s Family

A candlelight vigil was held Thursday night in front of Navasota City Hall to honor the life of Sgt. Mark Butler, who was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, January 15th.

During a press conference Thursday afternoon, Navasota Police Chief, Mike Mize, spoke about Sgt. Butler.

A memorial fund has been created in the name of Sergeant Mark Butler, and it will be used to support the Butler family.

Donations can be made by check or cash at Citizens State Bank branches in Navasota, Brenham, Burton, Somerville, Caldwell, Snook, and Deanville.

Checks may also be mailed to the City of Navasota at P.O. Box 910, Navasota, TX 77868. Checks should be made payable to the Mark Butler Memorial Fund.

Any merchandise sold online and GoFundMe pages with Sgt. Butler’s name are not authorized fundraisers.
