Authorities are still looking those responsible in two armed robberies last month at the Reveille Ranch apartments on Wellborn Road.
Bryan police issued a news release Wednesday, stating investigators have confirmed Texas A&M football player Devante “Speedy” Noil is not a person of interest in a July 23rd holdup and was never considered as a person of interest in a July 21st robbery.
Officer Kelley McKethan says the department does not typically comment on active investigations and people who have been interviewed. But McKethan says it was done after speculation on the internet and elsewhere that has damaged hurt Noil’s reputation.
McKethan says investigators have confirmed Noil was out of town when the July 23rd robbery took place. Two suspects are being sought. One is a black man standing six feet tall or 6-1 and weighing 180 to 185 pounds. The second suspect, acting as a lookout, was described only as being a black man.
McKethan says Noil was never considered a person of interest in the July 21st robbery because the victim gave a vague description of the suspect the day after it happened. The description of that suspect is a black man standing 5-5 to 5-7 and weighing 150 to 170 pounds.
According to the Texas A&M football website, Noil is 5-11 and 185.
Anyone who has information about the robberies is asked to call Bryan police at 979-209-5316 or Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS.
