A man involved in the murder of a Blinn College student in 2014 has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
According to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, 22 year old Jordan Alexander Graves pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and was sentenced last Thursday after taking a pela deal.
On October 30, 2014, authorities found Trey Kurtz’s body near downtown Brenham with one gunshot wound to the head.
The D.A. says the plea was given due to Graves being the driver and not physically contacting Kurtz. Graves is the third of the group involved to be sentenced.
The man who shot and killed Kurtz, Michael Dixon, was sentenced to 45 years last year. Deperrion Lott received 25 years after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery.
Graves will not be eligible for parole until at least half of his sentence has been served.
