Acord is New Precinct 1 JP

February 4, 2017 by Willy1550

Residents of Grimes County’s Precinct One got a new Justice of the Peace the 1st of February.  He’s Chris Acord, son of former Precinct One JP Stephen Acord, who preceded the retiring Gene Stapleton at that post.

The former Anderson-Shiro AG Science Teacher, self-employed rancher and Sam Houston State grad tells Navasota News he wants to follow in his father’s footsteps, representing and serving the residents of Precinct One.

And with more than a quarter century of service between his dad and the retiring Stapleton, Acord admits he has some very big shoes to fill.

JP Gene Stapleton officially ended his decade of service to the residents of Grimes County’s Precinct One in the Commissioners Courtroom in the County Annex in Anderson, where Chris Acord was officially sworn-in as the county’s new precinct one justice of the peace.
