Even amid a pandemic that has made learning a bit different for everyone, the adult literacy classes in Navasota are continuing!
“They have had to make some adjustments, but, they will find a way, whether is is off-site, at the library, or even providing laptops to assist. They will work with students to either get the General Education Development, or G.E.D. test, or the High School Equivalency Test,” said Navasota Mayor Bert Miller at Monday evening’s Navasota City council meeting.
He said that he wanted to remind Navasota citizen’s of this opportunity, that can go beyond just the literacy classes.
“There are also further classes, also available, through the education department through Blinn College. And that information can be found online, to see what is available. Again, all the GED courses, high school equivalency, and even English as Second Language (ESL) classes, are all also available, free of charge,” said Miller.
For more information on the classes, you can call the city at 936-825-6475, or visit blinn.edu.
