American Bald Eagle euthanized after being hit by vehicle in Grimes County

November 10, 2021 by Willy1550

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says that a bald eagle was hit by a vehicle in the county on Monday.

Sheriff Don Sowell did not specify where it was, but that the eagle has to be euthanized due to a broken back, broken legs, and many internal injuries.

The Eagle will be donated to a Native American Indian Tribe, as they are the only one legally allowed to possess bald eagle feathers.

Texas Game Wardens also assisted in retrieving the eagle.
