The City of Anderson is going to be seeing some changes to an important street starting Monday.
County road and bridge engineer Harry Walker says that TXDOT crews will be out on Monday, June 3rd to replace road signs on West Buffington Avenue in Anderson in front of the courthouse annex, making it a one-way street.
As of June 3rd, West Buffington Avenue will be one-way Eastbound coming in from Highway 90 heading toward the courthouse. It will no longer be possible to go from the circle to Highway 90.
Walker also says to be somewhat forgiving if people make mistakes after the change.
“It will be a big change. People are used to driving that way for many, many years. So, be alert, because there will be some people who make some mistakes for awhile,” he said at last weeks meeting of Commissioner’s Court.
Walker says that the TXDOT crews should have the signs changed before morning rush begins on June 3rd.
