Annual Seed Planting Postponed

October 23, 2015 by Willy1550

If you were eagerly awaiting Navasota’s Annual Wildflower Seed Planting this weekend, you’ll just have to wait a little longer. Keep Navasota Beautiful’s Connie Clements tells Navasota News, they are holding off on the event due to the amount of rain the city is expected to get this weekend.

But, Clements adds, you can use this unfortunately-timed but welcome spate of rain to your advantage, by joining in on the tradition.

To join in just call Cindy Armatis at City Hall to place an order or just to donate to the cause, she explains. Each bag of seed costs $25, and yields a pound of seed that will go a long way in making the Texas Blues Capital more meaningful to its residents.

The wildflower seeds are now scheduled to be spread around Navasota’s welcome sign on Highway 6 at North LaSalle, Saturday morning, November 14th.

So if you have a loved one that you’d like to remember in this beautiful way, or just want to make your city look more attractive, order your seeds today from Armatys at City Hall. Call 936-825-6475.
