A shooting on Catherine Street in Navasota leads to the arrest of a local man on multiple felony charges.
Navasota Police says they responded at 3 am last Thursday to the 200 block of Catherine to execute a search warrant, after reports of shots fired a mere hours earlier.
A vehicle outside had gun shot damage, and inside the home, officers seized 11 pounds of marijuana, and several guns.
21 year old Tony Mallard of Navasota is in jail on a charge of Possession of Marijuana over 5 pounds, which is a state jail felony. He also faces two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, which is a 2nd Degree felony.
At last check, Mallard remains in jail.
