One Resident is bearing her teeth about a possible water reclamation plant

September 26, 2014 by Willy1550

One southern Grimes County resident vows she’ll continue her fight to keep a water reclamation plant from coming online, even though her request for a public hearing by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality was turned down.

Dee Collins says she’s been tossed around by state and local government entities, “this has become a never ending circle of passing the buck. ” And she has gathered signatures from 25 other neighbors of the Grimes County water reclamation plant, currently under construction west of Todd Mission, claiming no one wants it.

But despite the TCEQ’s thumbs-down last month, Collins tells Navasota News her fight is far from over.

Meanwhile, grimes county water reclamation plant owner Bill Allen tells Navasota News he is unable to comment on the ongoing controversy at this time due to advice from counsel. We’ll let you know if, and or when that changes.
