Armyworm problem in Brazos Valley

September 18, 2018 by Andre Perrard

Be on the lookout, Grimes County. Armyworms have become a problem in the Bryan-College Station area. And its not going away anytime soon. Armyworms can damage entire fields pastures and pest control workers in the area say they are spreading rapidly.

One Bryan resident said she tried treating the yard with homemade remedies, but the armyworms kept eating until the entire yard was essentially gone. Pest control services are saying they have not seen an issue like this in years.

The armyworms can reach up to one inch long and again, can do away with entire pastures. And since ranching is so vital to Grimes County, be on the lookout for issues on your land. Treatment for the armyworms can cost up to $300. If you have any issues with these insects, call a pest control specialist immediately.
