Authorities Still Investigating Multiple Vehicle Burglaries

August 7, 2014 by Archive

Local law enforcement is again asking for your help in catching those responsible for multiple vehicle burglaries over the last two weeks in Bryan, College Station, and south of College Station.

Authorities are also taking the opportunity to remind motorists to remove valuables and lock their vehicles.

Bryan police officer Kelley McKethan says most reports of vehicle burglaries involve unlocked cars, including more than 100 last year.

College Station police has released the full video of a suspected burglar in the garage of a home located in the 4000 block of Spring Garden.

Since July 24, there have been at least 31 vehicle burglaries in College Station south of Deacon and west of the freeway.

That includes three on Tuesday in the area where a suspected home burglar was shot on Wildrye, two blocks north of Brian Bachmann community park. Lt. Chuck Fleeger says a possible connection is being investigated.

Items taken in the “grab and go” vehicle burglaries included spare keys that were used to steal two vehicles.

Anyone with information is asked to call College Station police at 979-764-3600, Bryan police at 979-209-5316, or Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS.
