The Grimes County Fairgrounds will host the Back to School Health and Safety Day presented by the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension on August 14th. The day will include useful tips for parents, prizes for kids and much more.
Representative for the event Carla Hayes says there will be many different reams out helping teach about safety and health within the schools.
Since school is starting soon, we asked Hayes about her tips for keeping your children from getting sick. She says keep hand sanitizer around at all times and wash your hands thoroughly.
The event will be from 11 am to 2 pm August 14th. Vendors will also be giving away free hot dogs and backpacks at the event. Kids must accompany parents in order to receive the free prizes. If you would like more information, contact Carla Hayes at (936)873-3907.
