A Bedias man seen rummaging around on an apartment security camera was arrested for burglary and drug charges last week.
That happened around 5 am last Thursday at Northpoint Crossing Apartments. Initially, officers stopped at the Home2Suites by Hilton next door to check on a man sitting in his car with his foot hanging outside. Officer contacted 33 year old Joseph Samuel Hall of Bedias, and were advised he had three outstanding Bryan Municipal warrants.
A search of Hall’s vehicle yielded a lime green bag bearing the name “Northpoint Crossing.” Inside, officers found two master swipe cards, a Bluetooth microphone, a box of Duracell batteries, and a singular room key. Also found was credit cards which did not bear Hall’s name.
A review of security footage showed Hall entering a room labeled “Mechanical Room” around 5:30 am, and staying inside for an hour. He is then later seen leaving the complex with the lime green bag with stolen goods.
Hall was arrested for the three outstanding warrants, plus Burglary of a Building. While in custody, he admitted to smoking meth, and officers found some inside his vehicle.
He faces the Burglary charge, plus a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $15,000.
