A fight in the Northgate District around midnight Saturday ends with the arrest of a Bedias man on a slew of warrants plus additional charges.
The arrest report says that fight happened in the Northgate parking lot, and as officers arrived, ne of the men in the fight began to leave. He eventually stopped, and was identified as 22 year old Tayshawn Williams of Bedias. Police discovered two felony warrants for him, both in Brazos County, for Evading Arrest and Assault of Family Member with Previous Conviction.
While being transported to the jail van, Williams broke the grasp of officers, and broke through yellow police tape in an effort to escape. He was apprehended after he fell while trying to run handcuffed.
After detaining him, officers found on Williams about three grams of marijuana.
Williams was taken to jail on his outstanding warrants, plus two new charges of Escape Detention, Evading Arrest, and Possession of Marijuana. He remains in jail on bonds which total $17,000.
