The victim of the drive-by shooting in Bedias last Thursday has been identified.
Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell says the shooting, which happened around 11 pm on Leon Street last week, claimed the life of 18 year old Anthony Demilo Williams. Emergency crews performed CPR on him as he was rushed to a hospital in Madisonville, but was pronounced dead later that evening.
Sowell says the search still continues for the shooter.
“No suspect information at this time, no vehicle information at this time. Just that random shots were fired into a crowd. We are looking at cameras in the area…but so far, they have not given me reports of anything solid,” Sowell said.
No further information has been released as the investigation continues.
