The winners for “Beef on the Brazos” fundraiser held by the Washington On The Brazos State Park Association in Washington County have been announced.
The winners were determined at a drawing on June 30th at the Washington on the Brazos Historic Site. Josh Letney from Fairfield was the top prize winner, with a herd of 20 B1 Braford heifers. Jerry Curtis from Conroe won a $1,000 cash prize and Josh Knowles from Washington won the $500 cash prize.
President of the Association Cyndee Smith presided over the drawing, announcing the fundraiser brought in a total of $88,250. She says the money will go toward funding many projects in all areas of the site.
Close to 1,000 buyers purchased tickets for the event.
