Bilingual teacher stipend increase approved by Navasota ISD

April 16, 2019 by Andre Perrard

Navasota ISD has increased their bilingual stipend for the next school year.

The recommendation was made at the NISD regular board meeting Monday night, and was approved. The stipend will increase from the current $3,000 to $5,000 beginning with the start of the 2019-2020 school year. Superintendent Dr. Stu Musik said in a release that finding teachers with that bilingual certification is a high priority for the district, and hopes this will encourage those with bilingual certification to come to the district.

Navasota ISD reminds anyone interested that the district will reimburse the expense for both the ESL and Bilingual Certification Tests upon successful completion and certification.

For more information, you can contact the district at 936-825-4200.
