Blinn College has established a new vice president position to oversee its Health Sciences and Technical & Workforce Education divisions effective immediately, the College announced today.
Dr. Cynthia Griffith, formerly vice president for instruction, will serve as the vice president for instruction for technical and workforce education. An interim vice president for instruction for academic programs will be named shortly.
“Dividing our instructional administration between two vice presidents will allow us to place greater focus on every division at Blinn College,” said Dr. Harold Nolte, district president. “Our Health Science and Technical & Workforce Education divisions are vital to Blinn and the communities we serve. We look forward to drawing upon Cynthia’s experience and knowledge as she leads these divisions into a bright future.”
Griffith joined Blinn as vice president for Allied Health Sciences in May 2013 and was assigned as vice president for instruction in November. From 2008-13, Griffith was dean of public service, health and behavioral sciences Lone Star College – CyFair. Prior to that, she was dean of workforce and community education at Alamo College – Northeast Lakeview and served as director of radiologic technology at Lone Star College – Montgomery and Angelina College.
