Blinn College trustees have decided on next year’s tuition and fee increases…where 98 percent of the class hours are being taken by students who reside outside of Washington County.
All Blinn students will be paying another one dollar per credit hour for tuition and another three hours per credit hour in general fees. That’s in order to generate two thirds of the more than two million dollars to give a five percent salary increase for all full time faculty and staff next year.
Trustees agreed with administrators that the rest of the money needed for the pay raises will come from taking money from budgets for replacements, renovations, and contingencies…along with some of the revenue generated by raising prices for housing and feeding students in Brenham.
