As Blues Alley continues to grace Navasota’s Downtown, the building to the west, from which it got its name, by the way, has just begun a rather drastic change.
Building owner Bert Miller gives Navasota News a sneak preview of his soon-to-be new eatery that will provide downtown with new flavors to eat, to drink, and to hear, called the Classic Rock Coffee Company.
Miller says he’s seen downtown business take a downturn since the last and only eatery shuttered it doors, and sees the new coffee shop as the fix city center businesses need to bring back hungry shoppers.
The exquisite Russell Cushman Mural will remain on its outside wall, he promises, but the merchants who used to occupy the former Blues Alley Business, have just moved down the street.
And the Blues Museum will also be relocating, says Miller, taking up residence in the Little Best Museum behind the Historic Horlock House.
And with construction already underway, Miller says he hopes to have the doors of the Classic Rock Coffee Company open sometime this May, if not sooner. And we’ll let you know when it does, right here on Navasota News.
