Body of missing Navasota man recovered on Lake Travis shoreline

The body of the Navasota man, who went missing on Lake Travis July 4th weekend, has been found.

Travis County deputies announced this weekend that the body of 28 year old Lonnie Gray of Navasota was recovered on the shoreline around noon Friday.

Gray was reported missing July 3rd in the Hatter Cove area of the lake. He was reported to have been swimming in water 85-130 feet deep.

Deputies from Travis County, alongside Texas Parks and Wildlife, Austin PD, and Houston PD searched shorelines daily, used sonar, and also utilized search dogs and underwater vehicles.

No further information was released.
