Each year The Brazos Valley Council of Governments or (BVCOG) identifies homebound and nursing home seniors who have very little or no contact with their families during the Holidays and ask them for wish lists.
These wish lists have the items the seniors need, like t-shirts, pajamas, sweatpants, body wash, and other necessities.
Community members then sponsor these Angel Tree tags and shop for the items. Volunteers assemble these items into gift bags and deliver them to nursing homes and residents throughout the Brazos Valley.
This year BVCOG is teaming up with the Navasota Citywide Mission to announced the launch of local “Senior Christmas Angel Trees” for residents in Navasota’s care facilities.
Angel Tree tags represent those local residents who need support with gifts and needs during the holiday season.
