According to a tweet from Texas DPS on Thursday afternoon, the trooper was shot pursuing a suspect believed to be involved in a shooting in Bryan early Thursday.

The shooter from the Bryan incident was apprehended on Thursday afternoon, Bryan Police confirmed. That incident claimed one life, and sent four others to the hospital.
