Although Brenham’s recent multi-county Small Business Forum was only the second one involving Grimes County, the director of the Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce seems happy with the turnout.
Of the approximately 150 people in attendance, Johnny McNally says the number from Grimes was proportional to our over-all population, with about 20 from here. But those who did attend got lots of valuable information on protecting against cyber crimes and fraud schemes, and also saw the best businesses in the three sponsoring counties honored.
And even though the number of Grimes businesses there was proportional to the number who make Grimes their home, McNally admits to Navasota News he wishes more local business owners had not missed such a compelling program geared to their needs.
He says you’ll get another chance next year, though, as planning for the sixth annual Small Business Forum has already begun. And, as there has been some talk about rotating the venues, it may even be hosted by a Grimes County facility. Stay tuned.
