Brenham man arrested, accused of shoplifting over $1,200 in items from Bryan Walmart

A Brenham man has been arrested and accused of shoplifting more than $1,200 from the Walmart in west Bryan.

The Bryan Police arrest report says that an officer and store employee watched a man pick up what turned out to be 25 items. Recovered items included a $300 robot vacuum, a $30 bundle of toilet paper, and a variety of clothing, bedding, and laundry items.

The man arrested was identified at 42 year old Joshua Clay of Brenham.

The arrest report noted that Clay has three prior theft convictions, with two of them in Harris County and one in Fort Bend County.

Clay is out of jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
