Brenham man arrested on a Navasota theft warrant, plus displaying false temporary tag on vehicle

March 18, 2022 by Willy1550

A Brenham man with a warrant out of Navasota is in jail on drug charges after being stopped for a bad temporary tag.

The arrest report says the officer ran the information on the temporary tag, and found no vehicle registered with it. Upon stopping 34 year old Jonathan Flores of Brenham, they smelled marijuana. Flores said he did not have anything illegal, and also admitted everything in the car was his.

A search of the vehicle yielded a few marijuana joints, and when asked why he did not mention it, Flores said he “thought he had smoked it all earlier.”

Flores was taken to jail for Possession of Marijuana, and was also jailed on the Navasota PD warrant for Theft. He was released after posting an $8,000 bond.
