Brenham man arrested on DWI charge

January 27, 2020 by Willy1550

A Brenham man was arrested in Bryan after leaving a trail of damage to cars and a building early Saturday morning.

According to Bryan Police, a truck sped through an intersection in the downtown area, hitting multiple parked cars and driving onto the sidewalk. The truck came to a stop after hitting a building and damaging a light pole.

The arrest report says that officers could smell alcohol on the man’s breath and his face was bloody, but had no other injuries. Police said the man also could not walk without falling over. Officers said the man admitted to having several shots at a club and was passing through on the way back to Brenham.

The man was arrested and identified as 22 year old Brisson James Ragston of Brenham. He was booked into the Brazos County Jail on a DWI charge and was released Saturday on $3,000 bond.
