As we thaw out from the latest cold snap, some property owners are having to dig out their insurance policies because of broken water lines. Gammy Martinez with the Texas Department of Insurance says most policies cover water damage from leaks and broken pipes, but there are exceptions.
Martinez says insurance coverage for water damage can vary widely from company to company.
