Bryan Council Approves Three Rezoning Requests

July 8, 2014 by Archive

Along several busy highways in Bryan, three requests to allow retail business zoning were approved Tuesday by the Bryan city council.

One of three locations is the remaining empty space at the intersection of Highways 30, 158, and Elmo Weedon Road. Representing developer Sam Trinh at last month’s Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, engineer Rabon Metcalf did not know specific plans for the ten acres across Elmo Weedon from Central Baptist Church.

The council also approved retail property at the Big Gas Truck Stop in north Bryan at 2818 and Highway 6 and rezoning the southeast corner of Highway 21 and Old Kurten Road, where the city has ordered a substandard commercial building be demolished.
