A Bryan man is held in the Brazos County jail without bond, after his arrest for assaulting an emergency room employee at St. Joseph’s Regional Health Center. The arrest report from Bryan police states the e-r technician, an e-r patient, and a friend of the patient were assaulted by 18 year old Jose Reyes. All of the victims were admitted for treatment of injuries. Officers say Reyes, who was also a patient, ran out of the hospital in shorts and a hospital gown with an I-V needle still in his left hand. Reyes was caught at 29th and Villa Maria, returned to the e-r to remove the I-V needle, then taken to jail.
A Bryan man is accused of taking his father’s pickup without permission and leading Bryan police on a pursuit involving multiple crashes. Jail records indicate it’s the second arrest this month and 17 in the last eight years for 26 year old Rafael Villarreal. According to the arrest report, the father told police his son had been up for three days using narcotics and was probably under the influence while behind the wheel. Officers reported the truck swerved while on Highway 21 and FM 2818 before turning on Beck then entering the Oakwood mobile home park. By the time the hour-long pursuit ended, the truck hit a mobile home, a mailbox, and a utility pole. One patrol vehicle was also damaged. Villarreal is jailed on bonds totaling $104,000 dollars.
A Bryan man has been arrested for an aggravated robbery that took place at a College Station apartment complex in April. 22 year old Justin Wallace is accused of holding up three people and taking $500 dollars and a cell phone. College Station police continue their investigation.
