Bryan Police Investigating Shooting Death of 18 Year Old

August 1, 2014 by Archive

A Bryan man is dead from what police investigators currently believe was an accidental shooting,

Officer Kelley McKethan says the victim, 18 year old Tyrell Wilson, and another 18 year old were playing with a firearm when it discharged inside a home on Saunders Street, across from Ibarra Park.

Police say there were adults in the house but no one else was injured.

The number of shots that were fired was not disclosed.

No one else was hurt during or after the gunfire.

Officers responded Thursday night shortly before 11 p.m. to what was initially filed as a manslaughter case. McKethan says anytime there is a death by firearm it is listed and investigated as a manslaughter or a murder until it can be proven otherwise.
