A former Bedias resident is one of two women arrested by Bryan Police on drug charges this week.
That was after authorities were investigating and recovering a stolen car. The BPD arrest report states officers seized drugs with an estimated value of $6,700, almost $1,100 in cash, a ledger with prices for narcotics, and three water bongs.
The seized drugs includes 13 THC cartridges in a safe that was found in the trunk of the stolen car, and methamphetamine found in the bra of one of the women as she was being searched at the jail.
Neither woman was charged with stealing the car from College Station.
The driver, 28 year old Janie Jones of College Station, formerly of Bedias, is on probation after pleading guilty last year to possessing controlled substances. The passenger, 30 year old Candace Siegel of Bryan, is awaiting trial on a similar charge from March of last year. Both were hit with charges of possessing controlled substances.
This is Jones’ third time in the Brazos County jail, after being arrested twice in 2018 on numerous drug charges.
