BVCOG Asks Grimes, What Do You Need?

April 8, 2015 by Willy1550

As Grimes County’s population continues to grow, it also continues to grow older. And with those increasing mobility needs on it’s collective mind, last week the Brazos Valley Council of Governments touched base with local residents, to find new ways to keep us on the move.

The City of Navasota’s Sarah Korpita tells Navasota News, last Wednesday’s transportation open house was a learning experience for the COG and transportation reps in attendance. And Korpita reports the general consensus was we need more consistent service.

Also a primary point in the conversation, she continues, was funding. A fee based service was not considered feasible, so the organization is actively on the lookout for other options.

And if you missed the meeting, Korpita says you can still let the COG know your thoughts and ideas, by calling 979-595-2800 extension 2036 and letting your elected officials know this matters to you.
