Talents in and around grimes county will gather at Navasota’s Western Club Monday nights in an effort to boost the music scene here in Texas’s Blues Capital.
Musician and Filling Station owner Mitch White tells Navasota News, his band Brick Yard Cane will join with two others every Monday for the next 7 weeks, as Open Mic nights will host bands to fill Navasota’s nights with live music and fresh voices.
White says the Open Mic will combine live entertainment with a meet and greet for the experienced, the learning and all local bands. And everybody who has the gear and the grit to come on stage will get their shot in the limelight.
The whole night is free, he continues, and if it builds a following, the club may extend the event indefinitely.
So music lovers, players and would-be players alike, consider this your invitation to the Western Club’s open mic night Monday, from 8 to late.
