Texas Central, the company attempting to build a high speed rail between Houston and Dallas, has their CEO step down.
Carlos Aguilar announced over the weekend his departure from the company.
The resignation comes amidst the Texas Supreme Court working to decide whether the builder of the railway has eminent domain across the 240 mile stretch of rail.
Recent court documents show that Texas Central is over $600,000 in debt on their taxes in 9 counties, including here in Grimes County.
Aguilar did not go into great detail behind the reason for his departure but said more details would be coming soon.
