The City of Navasota has been made aware of multiple reports from outside organizations regarding a fraudulent email that appears to come from a former City employee.
This, according to a press release which goes on to say, “The email attempts to share a file via a Dropbox link and may display an email address ending in @navasotatx.gov.
The City of Navasota confirms that this email is a scam. Recipients are advised to delete or discard the email immediately and avoid clicking on any links or attachments, as doing so could result in cybersecurity risks.
The City of Navasota takes this matter seriously and is taking steps to investigate and mitigate any potential impacts.
