City of Navasota moves National Night Out to October 6th, Treats on the Streets canceled

A few annual events in Navasota are being moved around amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a press release on Tuesday, the city of Navasota announced that they will be holding national night Out on October 6th, That celebration will include a First Responder parade in downtown, beginning at 6 pm. The route will start at Brosig Street and conclude at Ninth Street. Participants will need to travel in a motorized vehicle.

Spectators are asked to practice social distancing and comply with COVID-19 precautions.

As for one other, annual event, this year’s Treats on the Streets has been canceled, according to the city. That comes as a precautionary measure amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Halloween event, sponsored by the Navasota Police Department, is expected to be back and held in 2021.
