After a meeting with the public, and a large draw of interest, the City of Navasota is asking for volunteers in kick starting the soccer program.
That is in light of the Grimes County Youth Soccer Association announcing the fall season is canceled. The city of Navasota has proposed a season, which would run from September 24th through October 29th, with games on Saturdays.
Registration is $30 for a child, and they must be registered by 5 pm on August 31st, which is next Wednesday. Completion of forms must be done online only.
Volunteers are also needed, and without them, the city says the program cannot continue. Time commitment will be only a few hours per week.
