City of Navasota residents may have gotten a shockingly high utility bill this cycle, showing a past due balance, along with the current balance.
According to a post from the City of Navasota’s Facebook page:
“The City of Navasota had a recent software upgrade for our payment kiosk in the city’s lobby. Unfortunately, there was a glitch in the data feed to our system that affected payments made in April 2024. Due to an issue with date formatting, payments are currently showing as ‘pending’ in our system, resulting in residents possibly seeing a high bill last week.
Our Finance Department is actively working with the vendor to ensure that these payments are properly recorded to your accounts this week! We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we resolve this issue.”
