City of Navasota urges citizen’s to conserve water

February 18, 2021 by Andre Perrard

Residents of Navasota are being asked by the city to conserve as much water as possible.

Customers are experiencing low water pressure, due to high customer meter use. In a Facebook post today, the city says they have pumped three times the normal water use for this time of year in just the last 24 hours. The city is asking folks to keep as much water on hand as possible.

If you have a water leak, switch your meter off immediately, and do not reopen it until repairs are made.

The city is in stage 4 of their Water Conservation Plan due to use, and that is critical levels. If you have no leaks, they ask that you delay using washing machines and dishwashers. They also ask that you refrain from dripping water, and recommend wrapping pipes, or applying heat to the suspected frozen area.

The city is working to maintain service for customers.

For questions, contact the city at 936-825-6475.
