The City of Navasota is urging caution from citizen’s as an email scam makes way around town.
They say that the scam comes from individuals claiming to be the Navasota Police Chief, a city employee, or from the Navasota Police Department. They are requesting money from citizen’s, or money in return for giving information.
The City says that they, NPD, and Chief of Police have absolutely no involvement with these fraudulent practices, and do not make such solicitations.

They also ask you do not respond to any emails from the scammers, or click the links provided in the emails.
