According to a press release from the City of Navasota, which reads:
“The City of Navasota Public Water system was notified on Friday, May 10, 2024, that a sample taken from one of the water wells tested positive for E. coli. Upon notification, the well was immediately removed from use. The City of Navasota coordinated with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to conduct additional testing. As of Tuesday, May 14, 2024, that water well tested negative for E. coli and is back in service.”
