A Crockett man with two warrants out of Grimes County is in the Brazos County jail after violating a protective order this week.
College Station police responded to a traffic complain, and found the car in a handicap space at Walmart Wednesday night. Officer contacted the passenger, who said she had veered into oncoming traffic to avoid a crash.
She eventually told officers she had driven there with her boyfriend, against whom she had the protective order, saying he was inside the store waiting for her.
Officers caught up with 28 year old Joshua Ladnier of Crockett leaving the store, and surveillance footage showed the two talking, and walking the store.
Ladnier was taken to jail on two warrants from Grimes County, which include Possession of Marijuana, and Deadly Conduct.
He faces new charges of Violation of a Protective Order, and remains in jail on bonds totaling $36,000.
It is his second time in jail in the last 30 days, and was charged with Assaulting a Family Member by Choking in that incident.
