September 2, 2021 by Willy1550

A business owner in College Station with ties to volunteering in Grimes County has been arrested on 30 counts of child related sex crimes.

39 year old Curtis Roy Eckman of Bryan was arrested Tuesday, following a tip from North Las Vegas Police, who charged Eckman with nineteen counts of Lewdness with a Child Under 14, ten counts of Sexual Assault of a Minor Under 14, and one count of Attempted Sexual Assault of a Minor Under 14.

Eckman owns a real estate group in College Station, and previously served as volunteer emergency coordinator in Grimes County, but had not volunteered with the county since 2015.

He was also a Boy Scout leader since February 2010, according to online records.

At most recent check, Eckman remains in the Brazos County jail.
