Congressman Kevin Brady, who represents Grimes County, has once again been tabbed to lead house republicans in the Ways and Means Committee.
In an announcement last Thursday, Kevin Brady said that he was once again selected as the Republican Leader of the Influential House Committee on Ways and Means in the 117th Congress.
Brady said recently on a WTAW interview that it is the “honor of a lifetime.”
“It’s a great committee, because you can change lives of everyone. We did it with tax reform, you can do it in healthcare, welfare, social security, Medicare, it just can make that difference,” said Brady.
Brady was influential in leading reforms of the US tax code for the first time in 30 years, negotiated a ban on selling US crude oil overseas, and was crucial in helping pass the recent US-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement.
