You can improve your own health while supporting others in their fight against cancer, by taking part in the upcoming 10th annual Grimes County Relay for Life.
The Relay’s Shelly Hazel tells Navasota News, those services help cancer patients get to and from treatments and doctor appointments, and even give them personal support from others who’ve been there.
Hazel say, you can help continue these programs with your team of at least 8 people in the relay from 10 in the morning to 10 in the evening, at the Grimes County Expo Center “Fairgrounds.”
And don’t let the idea of walking for so long scare you, she clarifies only one member of your team has to be in the relay at a time so others can rest.
The relay is set for Saturday April 25th, to sign-up, donate or find out more about the cause, call 979-739-7991 or go online to www.relayforlife.org/grimescotx.
