County Reacts To Growing Pains

June 17, 2015 by Willy1550

With growth comes growing pains and Grimes County Commissioners are working on plans to keep the county strong as more and more people are joining the ranks of Grimes’ Houston escapees.

Precinct 2 Commissioner David Dobyanski tells Navasota News, Grimes is seeing both more visitors and new residents, because of the widespread, ongoing growth. And not only from Houston, either.

To help in planning, Dobyanski explains, the commissioners have enlisted the aid of Texas A&M University and possibly Sam Houston State.

But first there are a lot of basics to pound out and numbers to grind through, he continues, so it will be a while before the commissioners look for public comment. But when they do, he adds, they will look to you and your neighbors for advice, to find out what the county needs now for current and future residents, and who they should put on a future steering committee to get us there.
