COVID-19 vaccine locations available through DSHS website, only available for qualified individuals

January 11, 2021 by Andre Perrard

The COVID vaccine has been out for a couple of weeks, but where can those who fall under the first round of vaccine qualification go to receive it?

County Judge Joe Fauth, speaking at the January 6th meeting of Commissioner’s Court, said that the Texas Association of Counties provided a legal update to them this last week.

“As supplies become available to additional citizens, each person will need to contact an approved vaccine provider, to determine availability, and schedule an injection,” said Fauth.

Now, that vaccine is available through Brookshire Brothers pharmacy. The only people eligible for the vaccine right now are healthcare workers, and those with health risk over 65 years of age. But, where else can you find places that offer the vaccine?

The Texas Department of State Health Services website has a list of their vaccine provider locations, linked here.

Judge Fauth also reminded citizen’s to be checking the county website for updates.
